The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released the updated syllabus and exam pattern for the UP Police SI Confidential and ASI Clerk recruitment 2025 along with the examination schedule. The notification covers a total of 921 posts and the application process ran from 7 January 2024 to 31 January 2024 with a correction window in early February 2024. The written examination is scheduled for 2 November 2025 and admit cards will be available three days prior. Key highlights include a four-stage selection process consisting of a written examination, documentation and physical standard test, stenography test, and medical and personality test. Eligibility requires candidates to be between 21 and 28 years of age as on 1 July 2023 with age relaxation applicable as per rules. The application fee is Rs. 400 for all categories including General, OBC, SC, ST and female applicants. The written exam carries 400 marks across four sections with 50 questions each on General Hindi/Computer Knowledge, General Awareness/Current Affairs, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude/IQ/Logical Test, all to be completed in 2 hours 30 minutes. Applicants are advised to thoroughly review the revised syllabus and marking scheme before beginning preparation for the recruitment.
