Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the UPSC Geo Scientist Mains Result 2026 on its website for the Geo Scientist Examination 2026. The mains examination was held on 20-21 June 2026 after the preliminary exam conducted on 8 February 2026. A total of 85 posts were advertised under Advt No. 01/2026 GEOL with the online application window open from 3 September 2025 to 23 September 2025. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories had to pay an application fee of Rs. 200 while SC, ST, PH and female candidates were exempted from fee payment. The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age is 32 years as on 1 January 2025 with age relaxation applicable as per UPSC rules. Eligibility requires a Master’s degree in relevant subjects such as Geology, Geophysics, Chemistry or equivalent for different posts including Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist, Scientist B and Assistant posts. The selection process consists of Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, Personality Test and Interview.
